FICE and its associates are focused on 3 areas that have a large impact on the education system.
FICE has worked with, literally, almost twothousand engineering colleges around India and has helped them enhance their curricula, train their faculty and enhance experiential learning for their students. Curriculum enhancement programs are delivered directly to private universities and through state technical universities for other institutions.
FICE and Sapience Consulting have deep curriculum engagements with key state technical universities including VTU Karnataka, DAPJAKTU Uttar Pradesh, HPTU Himachal Pradesh, WBTU West Bengal, RGPV Madhya Pradesh, JNTU Anantapur, KTU Kerala, RTU Rajasthan and Pune Univeristy.
FICE is committed to delivery of market linked experiential learning interventions that enhance student employability and their entrepreneurial quotient.
Two programs are currently being delivered:
Intel Intelligent Systems Labs are established within the premises of participating engineering colleges are India. These labs are focused on driving learning in market relevant areas like embedded systems and the Internet of Things. As on date, almost 100 labs are functional. Each lab includes hardware, faculty development and student development.
Learn2Launch from University of California Berkeley is a new program focus on experiential entrepreneurship which takes participants from idea to an actual startup. FICE has entered into a collaborative agreement with the Technology Transfer Program at University of California Berkeley. The first classes will start in January 2017.
FICE collaborates with its corporate partner to deliver programs that enhance learning, innovation, employability and entrepreneurship to urban and non-urban audiences around the world. Some key large projects that were successfully delivered by FICE are:
FICE America helped managed the Intel Make It Wearable challenge in the United States. This challenge, run across several months in 2014, brought together a large pool of participants and other stakeholders from countries around the world.
- FICE helped rollout the Intel & DST Innovate for Digital India Challenge in 2015.
- FICE is currently working on the rollout of the Ek Kadam Unnati Ki Aur program for non urban audiences.
FICE has already touched several thousand students studying in more than 2000 institutions around India.
Around 100 Intelligent Systems Labs have been set up across India, within the premises of highly reputed engineering institutions, along with associated curriculum and instructor training.
FICE has been involved with delivery of Ideation and Innovation Camps, targeting a variety of user groups, within India and around the world. These camps have led to the creation of several new start up businesses.
