Where we fit
Air quality.
Local air quality management is a statutory duty and the reporting cycle is annual. Much of what it requires — assessment, modelling, reporting — needs no new hardware at all.
Highway condition and asset inventory.
Condition data feeds funding formulas and capital programmes, and the asset classes authorities are asked to report on are exactly what a camera pass sees.
Housing stock and retrofit.
Stock condition is bought on a recurring cycle and increasingly bundled with energy performance. Measurement can narrow where the expensive surveys need to go.
Net zero and planning evidence.
Baselines, scenarios and targeting — increasingly asked for on a cycle rather than as a one-off study.
How we’d start
Small, and inside a budget line you already have. A defined area, a defined question, a clear deliverable and a price that doesn’t need a procurement exercise to get moving. If it’s useful, it grows from there.
We’d rather do one useful thing for one authority than promise a platform to twelve.
